After The Flash proved itself quite controversial with its choice of cameos and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness never went as deep into the concept as it could’ve, a debate erupted about the use of the multiverse in superhero movies. The MCU is in the middle of the Multiverse Saga and just dropped the franchise’s main villain to bring back Robert Downey Jr. now as Doctor Doom, which should be explained by saying: multiverse. I think the plot device can still lead to strong superhero movies, but there should be actual emotion and care behind how it’s used.
